Jump!

Designing up some jumpsuits for future use.

I figured out while I was on the train the other day that I have a whole crapload of things that I need to make model sheets for from stuff that will show up in a couple pages to stuff that I'll be working on in March or so. I realized that Ash's jacket has lost bits and gained bits in the time he's had it, so it's time to get off my butt and do the reference work I know I need to.

In other news, I got some new pencils last week. They are Palomino Blackwing 602s, and they are exquisite. They have a really crisp dark line without needing to put a lot of pressure on the lead, and they aren't apt to crumble when you do put pressure on them. They actually encourage me to make longer single strokes with the pencil, rather than feathering my lines in like I did with my Mirado pencils. They're a little messy to use to roughing in, but I expect that once I combine them with my Col-Erase pencils as seen here, I will be unstoppable. Highly recommended. If you do go hunt them down, don't balk at the .99 price point. They work out way cheaper than a lot of comparable art pencils: http://pencils.com/palomino-blackwing-602
